Bass Maestro Marcus Miller Discusses New Album Renaissance

Marcus Miller, the grand master of jazz funk bass has released a new video where he presents his new album titled Renaissance. The album is scheduled for release August 7th.

Renaissance presents a new band and includes eight original compositions and new versions of songs by War, Janelle Monáe, The Jackson 5 and Ivan Lins.

Miller is a two-time Grammy-winner and the composer/producer of ten critically acclaimed and genre-defying albums (seven studio and three live). Renaissance is only his eighth studio project since his 1983 funk pop debut, Suddenly.

Miller’s name has appeared within numerous album credits and he has dazzled audiences with performances, compositions and productions – in the company of some of the world’s most respected and accomplished players and superstars – from the mid-`70s to the present.
