Soul Ascending (AirBorn, 2013)
George Wallace has returned to making ambient space music after 25 years. He has done some other work since then, but it’s great to see him bringing his ability to evoke his delicious appreciation for the abundance of life back to this music.
Soul Ascending seems to ascend as it goes along, and it features a lot of world music sounds. It is very atmospheric and spacey too. There is a sonic and romantic richness to his music that few can match.
