Sontaag’s debut album, Sontaag, is set for release in April 2014 on Esoteric Recordings, an imprint of the Cherry Red Records group. The eponymous debut album is a space rock opera, with Pink Floyd and Calvert-era Hawkwind influences, narrative spoken word, and evocative electronic ambiance.

Sontaag (the band) features Richard Sontaag (composition, instruments, concept, co-production), Ian Fortnam (story, lyrics, voice, concept) with Milo Venter (drums) and Amanda Cross (vocals).

Sontaag was recorded in New York City and London, co-produced and mixed by Youth for Big Life Management.
