District 97, one of the rising stars of the American progressive rock scene joined forces with legendary vocalist and bassist John Wetton, the former lead vocalist for two iconic progressive rock bands, King Crimson and UK.

‘One More Red Night: Live In Chicago’ is a tribute to the music of King Crimson, bringing together several talented generations of musicians. The repertoire focuses on the John Wetton-era of King Crimson, with piece from the three albums Wetton was involved with: Larks’ Tongues in Aspic (1973), Starless and Bible Black (1974), and Red (1974). In addition, the live recording features the iconic 21st song Century Schizoid Man from King Crimson’s first album.

The vocals are provided by John Wetton together with Leslie Hunt, one of the best vocalists in the current progressive scene.

‘I’ve said it before, and I maintain that D97 is the best young progressive band around right now. Gifted players, great material, and a brilliant, charismatic singer in Leslie Hunt. Their shows are an exciting pleasure to attend, and I am proud to work, and be associated with them,’ said John Wetton about this collaboration.

Album highlights include ‘The Night Watch’ and ‘Fallen Angel’ where guitarist Jim Tashjian showcases his admirable skill; as well as a splendid version of the progressive rock classic ‘Starless’.

District 97’s previous album was Trouble with Machines where John Wetton made a guest appearance. John Wetton’s last solo project was a 2 CD re-issue of Monkey Business and Jack-knife.
