Celebrated British progressive rock band Renaissance has opened its vaults and is now sharing with its fans excellent archive recordings. The first in the series is DeLane Lea Studios 1973, a rare live album in-the-studio performance where Renaissance gathered a small group of friends at the iconic DeLane Lea Studios in London.

This is classic Renaissance, during its most productive era. The selection includes most of the band’s fourth album, ‘Ashes Are Burning’. Listeners will enjoy the performances by Annie Haslam, one of the finest voices of the classic progressive rock era.

Renaissance performed an exquisite mix of rock, classical music and English folk. The lineup on DeLane Lea Studios 1973 featured Annie Haslam on vocals, Michael Dunford on guitar, Jon Camp on bass, John Tout on keyboards, and Terence Sullivan on drums. Guests on the live version of ‘Ashes Are Burning’ include Wishbone Ash’s Andy Powell on guitar and popular folk and pop singer Al Stewart on backing vocals.

DeLane Lea Studios 1973 includes three songs that have not appeared in live versions up to now: “Let it grow”, “Sounds of the sea” and “At the harbor”.
