Passes By is the first single by a new Finnish progressive/art rock collective called Grus Paridae. It’s only two tracks, but these guys have made quite an impression. The single opens with a grand piece titled ‘Passes By’ that features outstanding solo and harmonic vocal work, exquisite arrangements, and epic guitars.

The second track, titled ‘Inheritance of Devotion’ has a classic symphonic rock feel, with unique vocals, soaring violin, and fine guitar work.

Grus Paridae is a cooperative project developed by two multi-instrumentalists and composers, Petteri Kurki and Rami Turtiainen along with special guest Jarno Koivunen on violins.

The lineup on Passes By includes Petteri Kurki on vocals, guitars, bass, synthesizers, percussion; Rami Turtiainen on vocals, guitars, additional bass, percussion and synthesizers; and Jarno Koivunen on violin and additonal guitars: Jarno Koivunen.
