French progressive rock festival Prog’Sud has announced the lineup for the 2018 edition of the festival. The festival will take place May 10-12 at Jas’rod in Les Pennes-Mirabeau, in southern France, not from Marseilles and Aix-en-Provence.

New progressive rock supergroup is scheduled to perform at Night of the Prog on July 14, 2018. The Sea Within includes acclaimed guitarist Roine Stolt (Transatlantic, The Flower Kings), Daniel Gildenlöw (Pain of Salvation), Jonas Reingold (The Flower Kings, The Tangent), Tom Brislin (Renaissance, Yes Symphonic, Deborah Harry) and Marco Minnemann (Steven Wilson, UK, Joe Satriani).
The Sea Within is currently recording its debut album.
Night of the Prog Festival will take place from July 13-15, 2018 on the festival grounds of the Loreley Amphitheater in St. Goarshausen, Germany.
Acclaimed progressive rock guitarist Steve Hackett is set to perform February 18, 2018 at Tarrytown Music Hall in New York. The concert is part of the Steve Hackett – Genesis Revisited, Solo Gems & GTR 2018 Tour De Force.
Hackett’s solo recordings include prog rock, jazz, world music and blues influences. Essential solo albums include Voyage of the Acolyte (1975), Please Don’t Touch (1978), Spectral Mornings (1979), Beyond the Shrouded Horizon (2011), Genesis Revisited II (2012), and The Night Siren (2017).

Progressive rock band YES Featuring Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin, Rick Wakeman is set to perform on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at The Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami.
YES was co-founded by Jon Anderson and the late Chris Squire in 1968 and went on to sell millions of albums with classic prog rock releases such as Fragile, Close to The Edge, Tales From Topographic Oceans, and Going For The One and the commercial radio friendly pop-rock recording 90125, as well as embarking on several record-breaking world tours.
The touring band line-up is completed by two remarkable musicians – Lee Pomeroy on bass and Louis Molino III on drums.
The trio will be recording new material throughout the summer for a projected album release in early 2018.
Time for Pink Floyd, a tribute band featuring members of Canadian progressive rock band Hamadryad, is set to perform on October 21st, 2017 at the Rialto Theater in Montreal. With 7 musicians on stage, Time for Pink Floyd will play the best classics of the prog rock legend.

Acclaimed jazz guitarist and innovator Bill Frisell is set to perform on Thursday, September 14th in Carrboro, North Carolina with his Harmony Project.
The ensemble put together by Frisell includes vocalist Petra Haden, cellist Hank Roberts, and multi-instrumentalist Luke Bergman. Harmony is described as an evocative trip through the landscape of American music of the last century.
