In this latest solo endeavor, Machera unveils a delightful collection of songs that highlight his soft and elegant vocals. Each track is expertly enveloped by atmospheric and lush arrangements, creating an immersive sonic experience that resonates with both depth and emotion. The album seamlessly transitions between slower, contemplative dream pop melodies inspired by David Sylvian and faster tempo tunes reminiscent of Pink Floyd, demonstrating Machera’s versatility and musical finesse.

Dormiveglia features two high profile guests, Tony Levin and Pat Mastelotto. Notably, Steve Jansen, formerly of the seminal band Japan and currently engaged in the Exit North project, lends his musical talent to the album, along with a roster of other incredible musicians from around the globe.

One standout aspect of Dormiveglia is the visually stunning music video for the track “Building Homes.” Uniquely crafted through artificial intelligence (AI), guided by Machera and artist Alessandra Condello, the video delves into the intriguing interplay between traditional art and AI. The deliberate introduction of AI “mistakes” imparts a haunting quality to the resulting images, offering a thought-provoking visual companion to Machera’s music.
