Security Project is a band that transforms the music of Peter Gabriel, Kate Bush and progressive rock-era Genesis. Contact features a collection of live performances that focus primarily on Peter Gabriel material.
Security Projects’ re-envisioning has a tendency to make the songs more attractive, adding a progressive rock edge to some songs that were originally more pop oriented. There is still some pop here, but the creative drumming, the keyboard atmospheres and the Touch and electric guitars create fascinating renditions. Happy Rhodes does an outstanding job showcasing her wide vocal range.
The lineup includes Peter Gabriel’s drummer Jerry Marotta on drums and backing vocals; Happy Rhodes on vocals; Trey Gunn on Touch guitar and backing vocals; Michael Cozzi on guitars and backing vocals; and David Jameson on keyboards and Eigenharp.
