Nowhere Highway is the fifth album from French progressive rock band Eye 2 Eye. It is a concept album the misfortune of a musician who has lost inspiration.
Eye 2 Eye features vocals in English and draws inspiration from the great British and French progressive bands from the 1970s and 1980s. The Paris-based group delivers satisfying epic songs that progress very nicely with IQ-style vocals and stellar guitar work by Bruno Pegues, inspired by David Gilmour, Steve Hackett, and Nick Barrett. The keyboards are equally good with wondrous Mellotron, majestic cathedral-style organ and excellent synth solos.
Nowhere Highway also features fine violin work by guest musician Marie Pascale Vironneau and modern, innovative elements at times in terms of cosmic electronic keyboards and robot-like voices.
The lineup includes Jack Daly on vocals; Bruno Pegues on guitars; Philippe Benabes on keyboards; Etienne Damin on bass, guitars; Didier Pegues on drums, keyboards.
Guests: Michel Cerroni on backing vocals, spoken work; Claudine Istria on backing vocals; Thierry Lalet on Feadog tin whistle; and Marie Pascale Vironneau on violin.
