Progday Adds Mike Keneally with Andy West, Farmhouse Odyssey and Marbin to 2019 Lineup

The 25th edition of progressive rock festival ProgDay has announced the main stage performances by Zappaesque guitarist Mike Keneally with Andy West (The Dixie Dregs), rising California progressive rock band Farmhouse Odyssey, and a Thursday night preshow by Israeli fusion band Marbin.

Other previously announced acts include Us, Today, a band that combines jazz, post-rock and electronic music; acclaimed Italian band Accordo Dei Contrari; the American masters of progressive symphonic rock IZZ; and Mörglbl.

ProgDay has partnered with Adele Schmidt and José Zegarra Holder of Zeitgeist Media Production to present a free screening of the feature film documentary, Romantic Warriors IV – Krautrock (Part 1).  Part 1 covers the music and history of Can, Faust, Harmonia, NEU!, Cluster, Damo Suzuki’s Network, and more. The screening will take place on Saturday, August 31, 9:00 pm at Hotel Comfort Inn University Durham.

Progday will take place Saturday, August 31st, and Sunday, September 1st, 2019.at Storybook Farm, Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

ProgDay Announces Changes and Additions to 2017 Program

Hedersleben

ProgDay 2017 organizers announced today that Peruvian band Flor De Loto has cancelled its concert. Two additional bands, Hedersleben and Ephemeral Sun have been announced.

Hedersleben is a multinational space rock band with roots in the early progressive rock and krautrock sound.

Ephemeral Sun is an American group that combines progressive rock and electronica with heavy metal.

The other bands set to perform at ProgDay 2017 include Bubblemath (USA), Shylock (France), Sonar (Switzerland) with special guest David Torn, and iNFiNiEN (USA). Two more acts will be announced in the next weeks.

The festival will take place on Saturday and Sunday, September 2nd and 3rd, at Storybook Farm in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. For more details go to www.progday.net.

Progday 2017 Reveals First Acts

Progressive rock festival Progday announced the first artists scheduled to perform Saturday and Sunday, September 2nd and 3rd, at Storybook Farm in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

The festival will feature acclaimed Peruvian band Flor De Loto, sensational American progressive band INFiNiEN and celebrated Swiss avant-garde ensemble Sonar.
