Fans of John Mc Laughlin rejoice. His spirit seems to resonate in this fine electric jazz album by Austrian guitarist Alex Machacek, who is a Berkley School Of Music graduate. His first album Featuring Ourselves was released in 1999.

His new high energy album [Sic] features drummer Terry Bozzio and Raphael Preuschl on upright bass. The appropriately named track ‘Indian Girl meet Austrian Boy’ is co-composed by Sumitra Nanjundan. We also recommend the track ‘Miss Understanding,’ as well as ‘Piano’ and ‘Austin Powers.’
