Now, More Than Ever is his first solo album in seven years, after his last studio recording, Goodbye, Svengali, a tribute to the late Gil Evans. The album combines jazz fusion, rock power, funk and blues.
The creator of such pioneering and seminal jazz-rock works as 1968’s Turn Circle and 1969’s Dragon Hill, guitarist and composer Russell emerged on a fertile 1960s London music scene as a reputable session musician, along with fellow guitarists John McLaughlin and Jimmy Page.
Russell has numerous recordings to his credit, from small group sessions to soundtrack recordings for movies and TV.
