American audio engineer Ray Dolby, inventor of the Dolby Sound System died on September 12, 2013 in San Francisco.
Ray Dolby was born in Portland, Oregon and grew up in San Francisco, California. In
1965 he founded Dolby Laboratories and invented the widely used Dolby Sound System.
