Ego (Lynx Music, 2013)
Millenium’s latest album appears in several reviews as a progressive rock release. However, the music on Ego rarely takes off into a progressive music direction. In reality, the majority of the album is a collection of melodic pieces, some of them lengthy, with a handful of fine proggy electric guitar solos, new agey acoustic guitar and sax, pop, soft and hard rock, and a great vocalist that recalls Unitopia.
Ego will appeal to music fans who like melodic rock acts such as Styx, Supertramp, and the lighter side of Utopia and Pink Floyd.
The lineup on the album includes Łukasz Gall on vocals, Piotr Płonka on guitars, Krzysztof Wyrwa on bass, Tomasz Paśko on drums, Ryszard Kramarski on piano, along with guests Darek Rybka on sax, Michał Bylica on trumpet and Karolina Leszko on vocal.
