Pink Floyd is releasing this month a 2-CD and DVD collection titled London 1966/1967 (Kscope).
‘Pink Floyd 1966-1967′ is a captivating look into the early world of one of rock music’s biggest ever bands with the original line-up of Syd Barrett, Nick Mason, Roger Waters & Rick Wright.
Shot by movie director Peter Whitehead, the video features rare performance footage from the 1960’s line-up at Sound Techniques London plus material from the celebrated ’14 Hour Technicolor Dream’ performance in April 1967 at Alexandra Palace & The UFO Club. It includes performance art by Yoko Ono and a Sgt. Pepper-era John Lennon taking in the festivities.
The collection includes ‘Nick’s Boogie’ (11:50) and ‘Interstellar Overdrive’ (16:46).
It also contains contemporary interview footage with essential figures in art, music & film.
