With this trio lineup Jarrett explored the full range of modern jazz, from poetic balladry to hard-swinging time-playing to intense free music, the improvisation including episodes with Keith on soprano sax.
the lineup includes Keith Jarrett on piano, soprano saxophone, flute, percussion; Charlie Haden on double bass; and Paul Motian on drums, percussion.
ECM’s Manfred Eicher returned to the original tapes recorded 42 years later and remixed the music in Oslo in July 2014, along with Jan Erik Kongshaug.
