Legendary French progressive rock group Magma is set to perform in China for the first time. The pioneering band is scheduled to perform on Saturday, May 30th at Yugongyishan in Beijing.
In 1970 Magma created an unusual and beautiful sound mixing free jazz, classical, blues, progressive rock and pop in combination with their own compound of experimental symphonic rock music.
Throughout its 40+ musical career Magma has recorded an impressive amount of records and albums, many of them focused on the mystical legend of the planet Kobaïa, which is settled by refugees from Earth in some distant future.
Magma’s songs are all sung in Kobaïan, a language created by the band that fans of Magma have in reality learned to decrypt and speak to one another!
The group’s most famous albums include the trilogy “Theusz Hamtaahk“, “Wurdah Ïtah” and “Mekanïk Destruktïw Kommandöh“, including musical pieces of incredible precision and intensity for the avant-garde public.
