Fabio Zuffanti was born in Genoa, Italy, on June 5, 1968. He is a celebrated bassist, producer and composer and one of the leading figures in the recent Italian progressive rock scene.
Zuffanti started his musical career in 1994. Since that time, he has appeared on over 40 albums. In addition to his solo albums, Zuffanti was involved in numerous high profile progressive rock projects, including Finisterre, Maschera Di Cera, Höstsonaten, Rohmer, laZona, Aries.
He has composed and performed in a wide-range of musical genres with progressive rock, post rock, folk, pop, electronic, psychedelic and experimental being the primary focus.
Zuffanti is also the director and producer of the Mirror Records label. He also works as a composer of music for TV jingles and soundtracks, dance performance and theater scores, and other background music applications.
Fabio is also revered for composing two rock operas “Merlin” and The Rime of The Ancient Mariner. He has also authored two books.
