Celebrated space rock band Hawkwind is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a new album titled 50th Anniversary Live. The recordings were made during the November 2019. Hawkwind performed some of the band’s most successful songs to packed crowds each night. The album is set for release on December 4, 2020.
50th Anniversary Live will be available as a deluxe double CD or triple gatefold vinyl. The highlights include Motorway City (Levitation, 1983), Spirit Of The Age (Quark, Strangeness and Charm, 1977), Hurry On Sundown (1970), Right To Decide (Electric Tepee, 1992), Assault and Battery and Golden Void (Warrior On The Edge Of Time, 1975).
Current classics include Last Man on Earth, Flesh Fondue and 65 Million Years Ago from the band’s 2019 Top 40 studio album All Aboard The Skylark.
The line-up features Dave Brock, Richard Chadwick, Magnus Martin, Niall Hone and Tim Blake with guest appearances from Phil Campbell (Motörhead, The Bastard Sons) who joins the band on The Watcher (Doremi Faso Latido, 1972) and Silver Machine.
