Celebrated rock and jazz drummer Bill Bruford has announced the release of his back catalog in digital format for the first time. Bruford recorded many solo albums aside from his work for YES and King Crimson. Bill’s first band was the named Bruford (1977-80). After that, he recorded two studio albums with Patrick Moraz.
In 1986, he formed the band Earthworks as a purposeful return to his roots in jazz, encouraging the use of rock technology with jazz sensibility – the characteristic hallmark of Earthworks’ stylish approach.
In addition, Bruford collaborated with Tony Levin, David Torn, Ralph Towner, Eddie Gómez, Michiel Borstlap, Colin Riley, and various percussion ensembles.
Until now, most of these albums have not been available on Download and Streaming platforms. Bill commented: “If you like to consume your music interests digitally, and have a moment to check out all things Bruford, or maybe take a listen to my solo and collaboration albums, or Earthworks’ albums for the first time, then, in all sincerity, it’s a pleasure to know my entire catalogue can now be downloaded and streamed.”
