Washington, DC band Day of Departure is set to release its debut self-titled album on March 25, 2022 through its own label, Bravemusic. The group combines post rock, progressive rock, ambient music and hard rock.
The theme of the album is the deterioration of our planet, and then the need to evolve and find a new path forward for survival. The album is intended to take the listener on a journey from utter destruction and despair to a place where there is a new consciousness and reality that will break this unending cycle.
Band members include Matt Kozar on guitar and keyboards; Michelle Schrotz on vocals and keyboards; Trevor Schrotz on drums; Ben Kelly on bass; and Scott Loose on guitar and keyboards.
