Electronic music guitarist Jeff Pearce has released a music video titled “Autumn Light” (for Harold Budd). The video serves as a preview of Pearce’s new Infinite Ambient Listening Experience called “Autumn Light” that will be added in the next weeks.
Pearec says: “For those of you who are unfamiliar with the Infinite Ambient website and concept: the heart of the Infinite Ambient Listening Experiences are sections of music created by a real human (that would be me). These sections of music are created around a central theme, and then their playback order is determined by a random number generator. And because of this, you’ll never hear the same musical performance twice, and the music will play as long as you wish; minutes, hours; even weeks.
“Autumn Light (for Harold Budd)” was originally written on December 8, 2021, as a tribute to Harold Budd on the first anniversary of his death. Pearce adds: “Harold’s music, from the first time I heard it in 1985, just “felt” like Autumn. My problem in writing my tribute was that I never fully knew how to end it, which was an appropriate problem to have; much, if not all, of Harold Budd’s music felt like it could play on forever. So in early 2023, I decided that I would take the different parts of the song and create an Infinite Ambient Listening Experience; that way, it could just keep playing, and changing, for as long as anyone wished to listen.”
