German ambient electronic music artist Volker Lankow has just released Chilling Landscape. Lankow says, “In my experience, creating mental landscapes for relaxation or calming purposes is a great way to unwind and alleviate stress. However, everyone’s ideal mental landscape is different, so I explored various scenarios until I found the one that resonate most with me and my musical ideas and which brings the most peace and tranquility to my mind (see cover image). I hope you find as well relaxation by creating your own mental landscape and that my music will support you.
“In my experience, creating mental landscapes for relaxation or calming purposes is a great way to unwind and alleviate stress. For this album I chose one of the stunning pictures of James Kliffen, who is a dedicated photographer (and who works as well with MSF).
“However, everyone’s ideal mental landscape is different, so I explored various scenarios until I found the one that resonates most with me and my musical ideas and which brings the most peace and tranquility to my mind. I found this in James’ pictures. Thank you, James.
“To all of you, I hope you also find relaxation by creating your own mental landscape and that my music will support you. May you will also find it in this amazing photograph of a calm landscape, an image caught by James Kliffen.”
Music created, recorded, produced by Volker Lankow in his World Ambient Studio, Berlin-Kreuzberg.
