The album cover for Essences Referable to Nothingness features a dreamlike landscape. Silhouetted trees stand against a hazy, multi-colored sky that shifts from deep green to burnt orange. The foreground is shadowy and desaturated.

Mandala in the Machine — Aglaia’s Ambient Craft Returns

Projekt Records has released Essences Referable to Nothingness, the latest ambient electronic work by Aglaia, the long-running project of Italian electroacoustic composer Gino Fioravanti. This marks his fifth release on Projekt and his 79th album overall.

The 90-minute collection mixes processed acoustic instruments, such as harp and zither, with subtle electronics. Drawing influence from Zen and Tantric philosophies, Fioravanti constructs immersive soundscapes that emphasize stillness, introspection, and minimalism.
