Tomo-Nakaguchi – Out Of The Blue (Audiobulb, 2025)

Tomo-Nakaguchi’s third release on Audiobulb, Out Of The Blue, represents a marked expansion of his sound. He efficiently mixes serene ambient electronic passages with bursts of abrasive noise. The album develops as a series of layered, unpredictable soundscapes. Rapid dynamic shifts and intricate details create a sensation of floating through vast, cosmic spaces.

Based in Yokohama, Japan, Nakaguchi is a musician and sound artist known for his work with the experimental rock band 1769 and the multimedia collective Skyward Photo Film. His compositions weave dreamy, warm soundscapes through layered acoustic and electric guitars, samplers, broken tape machines, field recordings, and a range of instrumental sounds.

Mastering was handled by Masahiro Kawano, with album artwork by Sue Z Smith.
