The album cover for The Unified Field by All India Radio features a landscape under a deep blue sky, dominated by a massive, reflective sphere hovering above the ground. Two small, robed figures stand below it, gazing upward. The band’s name and title appear in the upper right corner.

All India Radio Plots The Unified Field: Slowcore Drop for Halloween

All India Radio – The Unified Field (self-released, 2025)

All India Radio will roll out The Unified Field on October 31, 2025. The self-released set from the Tasmanian project revisits the experimental slowcore of its early years, bringing in reverb-drenched tremolo guitars and hazy atmospheres.

Musical references include Labradford (one-time stage mates), underground cult favorites Duster, and the shadowy aesthetics of David Lynch’s film world. The new, proggy single “The Red Room” arrives with a video that tips directly to Twin Peaks, while this summer’s cover of Slowdive’s “Catch The Breeze” relates to shoegaze.

Cover art comes from Frank Kelly Freas’ 1977 piece “Dune The Banquet Scene,” licensed with permission from the artist’s widow, Laura. The band defines the album’s mood as slow-burning ambient post-rock with “deep space between notes,” echoing Lynch’s idea that “the unified field is here, and there, and everywhere.”
