American progressive rock duo, Days Between Stations, has rolled out their latest single, titled “Witness The End Of The World.” This song presents a remarkable performance delivered by the ever-talented vocalist Durga McBroom, known for her occasional appearances with Pink Floyd. Furthermore, the song also features a guest appearance by Yes bassist Billy Sherwood.
“Witness The End Of The World” was included in the band’s 2020 album, Giants. Notably, the music video for “Witness The End Of The World” was put on hold as a consequence of the global pandemic. Ironically, this delay inadvertently aligned with the song’s poignant lyrics, creating a synchronicity that was both profound and unsettling.
Guitarist Sepand Samzadeh recalls the moment he first heard the composition written by Oscar. It’s the kind of song that becomes an unwavering companion throughout one’s journey in life, its musical notes and lyrical significance evolving in tandem with the twists and turns of one’s path. Just when one believes they’ve grasped the essence of the song, it seamlessly transforms into something else entirely. The band embarked on filming the accompanying video during the tumultuous conclusion of the COVID-19 pandemic, a period that felt eerily akin to the apocalypse.
The imagery within the video draws inspiration from the collective experience of society, their friends, and their families as they grappled with the relentless effect of this disease.
Thank you!
