The album cover features a design with a large, bright yellow circle on the right side against a soft blue gradient background. On the left, the text reads: volker lankow ambient journal 3: ambient excavation in lowercase, with part of the title in bold.

Volker Lankow Launches Ambient Excavation

German electronic music artist Volker Lankow has released Ambient Excavation. This digital album is the third part of the Ambient Journal, a short two–part ambient work constructed with layered drones and sustained structures. It was inspired by the process of uncovering what lies concealed. As Lankow says: “the music drifts through spaces of depth, memory, and silence.”

Volker Lankow recommends that you listen to the music in a lower volume.

All the music on Ambient Excavation was played by Lankow. He also recorded and produced the album.
