Elipsis, the self-titled debut from the trio Elipsis, is out now. The group brings together master percussionist Pedrito Martínez, drummer and composer Antonio Sánchez, and bassist-producer Michael League, founder of Snarky Puppy.
Martínez draws on Afro-Cuban traditions, Sánchez contributes experience in jazz, film, and contemporary music, and League takes the role of the ensemble’s direction as producer and bandleader. The trio describes their sound as “future folklore,” highlighting music that respects its roots while looking ahead.
