ECM has reissued Oracle, the 1994 duo album by bassist Gary Peacock and guitarist Ralph Towner, on vinyl for the first time as part of its Luminessence audiophile series.
Recorded in 1993 and produced by Manfred Eicher, Oracle documents the first duo encounter between Peacock and Towner, who performs on classical and 12-string guitar. The album presents original compositions by both musicians, balancing written material and improvisation in intimate dialogue.
The new edition appears in ECM’s Luminessence line, which focuses on high-quality pressings of key catalog titles. This release comes in a tip-on gatefold sleeve featuring photos from the original session.
