Volker Lankow — Drone With Me (self-release, 2026)
German ambient electronic music artist Volker Lankow’s latest release is Drone With Me, an hour-long deeply mesmerizing meditation in two voices. Two drones arise, warm and unhurried, each tracing its own slow path through time. They develop alongside each other — sometimes converging, sometimes drifting — never quite the same from one moment to the next. There is no hurry in this welcoming space. No terminus. Only the undisturbed pressure of sustained sound and the space it opens up around you.
Lankow indicates that this is music crafted for long listening, during late evenings, ready to transition to a particular stillness that arrives just before sleep.
