Compassionizer – The Faithful of the Land (ArtBeat Music, 2026)
Compassionizer’s fifth album, The Faithful of the Land presents beautifully crafted and fearlessly original progressive rock work centered on people who pursue a higher purpose and seek divine beauty. Musically, the band delivers a mix of melodic, meditative and accessible avant-prog alongside atmospheric experimental rock.
The instrumentation used is far-reaching, with a mix of traditional musical instruments coupled with modern electronic devices. These include pipe organ, theremin, balalaika, dholak, rubab, ukulele, and other instruments. Meanwhile, Slovenian singer Sabina Vostner assumes a prominent role on most tracks, a notable departure from previous Compassionizer releases.
The Faithful of the Land also combines unconventional modes and occasional odd time signatures beloved by progressive rock fans, with intricate arrangements and unexpected shifts in its melodic lines.
Compassionizer is the experimental chamber and avant-prog project founded by Russian composer and keyboardist Ivan Rozmainsky of Roz Vitalis.
