Musea has reissued La Cité Des Dieux Oubliés (FGBG 4521) in 1978, the album by French instrumental symphonic progressive rock band Acintya.
The CD includes the two lengthy original tracks that appeared in the vinyl album, characterized by the use of majestic keyboards, including the organ of Saint-Nicolas-De-Port’s famous basilica. The album also features inspired violin performed by Philippe Cleese.
This new edition includes two extra-tracks, captured during one of the first rehearsals by the band in the year 1976. Musea also found a live performance in its treasure vault, captured live at Nancy’s Salle Poirel, January 12th, 1979.
Acintya was formed in Nancy, in the Lorraine region of France. The group played first rate instrumental symphonic progressive rock. The group was led by keyboardist Philippe De Canck who played organ, synthesizers, piano and mellotron. Acintya recorded only one studio album in 1978, “La Cité Des Dieux Oubliés.”
