British symphonic progressive rock band The Enid have announced that the release of their upcoming album titled The Bridge will be moved back. The group’s vocalist, Joe Payne, indicated in a press release that The Enid was unable to record the vocals due to a “poorly timed ongoing throat and chest infection.”

About the new album, Joe Payne added: “The work that has gone into this album exceeds all efforts I have previously been part of with The Enid, including Invicta. The purpose of making this album was always with a mind for self-development, and develop we have.

You can look forward to the latest reverberation technology and real unedited studio performances which require the utmost patience and practice to reach the expected standard. In the studio we are now achieving things I never would have believed possible a year ago.”

Until The Enid announces the revised release date, the group has reopened the opportunity to have the fans’ names in the credits when they pre-order The Bridge from The Enid Shop.
