Russian progressive rock band IWKC has a developed a unique quirky sound that blends classic progressive rock with post-rock, psychedelia, avant-garde and chamber music. Their latest album is Evil Bear Boris.

The band has a large ensemble format. On the rock side, Evil Bear Boris Includes drums, bass and keyboards. There is no electric guitar. Instead, the band features several string players and a chamber brass section, creating cinematic passages, dramatic progressions, some improvisation and melodic interplay.

The lineup includes Nikita Samarin on drums and percussion; Andrey Silin on keyboards and theremin; Artem Litvakoskiy on cello; Nick Samarin on keyboards and bass; Alexandra Ramazanova on cello; Ksenia Pluzhnikova on violin; Ramil Mulikov on trumpet and trombone; Ekaterina Voronkova on French horn; Anton Ponomarev on saxophones; and Konstantin Podgorbunskiy on tuba.

Evil Bear Boris also includes special guests: Gnesin State Musical College Choir featuring Alexandra Zotova, Pavel Zotov, Evgenia Mazur and Vera Nikshetchieva.
