Anima Mundi is one of the highest rated progressive rock acts in the past two decades. The group is the finest progressive rock band in Cuba, along with Sintesis. Insomnia is the band’s 6th studio album.

On Insomnia the band treats the listener to a fabulous combination of symphonic classic progressive rock inspired by the great bands of the 1970s along with electronic explorations and delightful, mysterious arrangements that drive the music forward.

The group is led by multi-instrumentalist and composer Roberto Díaz on electric and acoustic guitars, fuzz bass, percussion, loops, orchestrations, sound effects, lead and backing vocals, vocal percussion, and is described as weird vocals; Virginia Peraza on synthesizers, Rhodes, Wurlitzer, Mellotron, Hammond organ, keyboards, sound effects and backing vocals; Yaroski Corredera on electric bass and synth bass; Marco Alonso on drums, percussion, saxophone; Aivis Prieto on lead and backing vocals.
