The classic Gentle Giant line-up has reunited for the first time since 1980 for a remarkable new video. Assembled over the last few months, it’s a new version of “Proclamation” (originally from Gentle Giant’s 1974 album “The Power & The Glory”) including appearances from Gentle Giant members Derek, Ray and Phil Shulman, Gary Green, Kerry Minnear, John Weathers and Malcolm Mortimore.
There are also guest appearances by several prominent musicians including Jakko Jakszyk (King Crimson), Billy Sherwood (Yes), Lee Pomeroy (ELO/Steve Hackett), Dan Reed (Dan Reed Network), Richard Hilton (Chic) and Mikey Heppner (Priestess).
Noah Shulman, son of Derek and designer of this project had the idea of bringing together virtually many of the artists who had posted videos performing their versions of Gentle Giant songs. Noah directed and edited the video and it was mixed by his uncle Ray.
