Celebrated songwriter and composer Kitt Wakeley has released his latest creation, the orchestral piece “Sinners And Saints.” This new composition will appear on his upcoming album “Symphony of Sinners and Saints,” scheduled for release on May 21st, 2021.
“Sinners And Saint,” as well as the album was recorded with the London Philharmonic and London Voices at the well-known Abbey Road Studios in London. The album includes featured artists such as Joe Satriani, Andy Timmons, Paige Harwell, Brent Berry and Ryan Miller.
Kitt used his unplanned time during the pandemic lockdowns to envision a project that would top everything he had done so far, with a mission to bring the best talent and quality together and use it to accent what he felt as the best writing he had ever done.
Kitt Wakeley explains: “I knew that we were on to something special when I would see the orchestral players, conductor and Abbey Road staff get excited during the recording sessions. Subsequently, knowing that talents such as Joe Satriani and Andy Timmons were willing to play on the project gave me additional affirmation that the project had great credibility. However, I never dreamed that the end product would be so jaw dropping. When mixing the songs with my producer, I was floored at how it was coming together.
“Watching people come through the studio and seeing their reactions was affirmation of my own conclusions. They would ask to sit, listen and watch us mix the project for hours.”
Kitt composed each song of the project around the tone of sinners and saints, with every song revolving around a ‘fire and ice’ concept, in order to create a musical journey that would take the listener through dark and euphoric feelings, sinister and positive vibes encompassed in each compositions. Kitt says that he knew he was finished with writing a song when he could listen and hear all those elements. The powerful dichotomy present throughout the different compositions is what gives the full project a transcending quality, from life’s duality to a godly oneness.
The first step towards the full album release was marked by the release of ”Conflicted,” featuring iconic rock guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani.
Wakeley is known for his innovative combination of rock music, massive orchestras, EDM and piano music.
