American guitarist and composer Carl Weingarten has released another beauty. Ember Days is an exquisite set of instrumental pieces highlighting Weingarten’s masterful guitar work.
Ember Days includes spellbinding compositions, beautiful melodies and atmospheric tranquil moments that are pure delight. On this recording, Carl Weingarten uses various types of guitars: acoustic, electric and resophonic. He is a skilled slide guitarist who provides a wide range of colorful, bending guitar sounds and overdubs.
On this occasion, Weingarten is joined by his colleague Michael Manring, an excellent bassist who provides support and creative fretless bass lines. You’ll also find the mesmerizing wordless vocals of Tate Bissinger and the emotive piano of Kit Walker.
