Ruphus’ fifth album, “Flying Colours” was recently reissued. Ruphus was an iconic Norwegian progressive rock and jazz-rock band. “Flying Colours” was originally released in 1978.
After living in Germany for some time, the band had developed a dedicated following there. In fact, they toured so much in Continental Europe that many Norwegian record buyers thought Ruphus was a German band.
The line-up on “Flying Colours” was the same as on its predecessor “Inner Voice”: Kjell Larsen on guitar; Asle Nilsen on bass; Sylvi Lillegaard on vocals; Thor Bendiksen on drums; and Jan Simonsen on keyboards.
“Inner Voice” is the fifth in a series of Ruphus re-issues from Karisma Records, remastered by Jacob Holm-Lupo (White Willow, The Opium Cartel, etc).
