I am so glad to have listened to this band for the first time, and I am looking forward to what’s next. “Beehive” is one of my favorite songs of the year. But “Picking Up the Pieces”, “At Sea”, “Honey”, and “Across the Ocean”, were also perfect.
To The Far Away – Dave Bainbridge
I have long been an Iona fan, but had never experienced a Dave Bainbridge solo album until now. This was a magnificent prog album. The album cover art is one of my favorites of the year. The story behind it is even better. Watch my interview with Dave to hear that story. Every track is excellent and well-crafted here.
One to Zero – Sylvan
This band is back with a vengeance! Good to hear from them again. “Go Viral” is one of the best songs of the year! A great concept album about virtual reality, how timely. So happy to have Sylvan back.
Forsaken Innocence – Drifting Sun
The story of this band continues to rock the progressive world. With Jargon singing lead vocals and Pat Sanders on keyboards there is only one place this band can go – up!
The Sea of Broken Vows – Castanarc
What a wonderful surprise. They sent me the CD for review without prompting and I was so happy they did. Excellent work on your debut! Looking forward to more.
5.20 – Nine Skies
Another new band for me. I loved this album and I recommend you check out this and their back catalog.

Wow, what a debut! They are already working on their next album. I can’t wait for that.
Day and Age – Frost*
They are back in the same year Sylvan returned. Great to have both of these bands back where they belong…in the charts.
Innocence and Illusion – Amanda Lehmann
I didn’t know of her many connections to Steve Hackett before this year. A wonderful album. I will be watching for her next album.

First time hearing and reviewing this legendary band and it won’t be the last. Listening to their back catalog.
