Damanek is a project spearheaded by British composer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Guy Manning. He joined forces with saxophonist and keyboardist Marek Arnold and bassist Dan Mash, two of his colleagues from the European branch of progressive rock band United Progressive Fraternity. The trio was seeking a keyboard maestro and recruited talented musician Sean Timms.

The quartet met at Guy’s Burnside Studio and recorded the “On Track” debut album, released in 2017. Additional guest musicians included Brody Thomas Green on drums; DavidB on backing vocals; Ulf Reinhardt on drums; Luke Machin on guitars; Antonio Vittozzi on guitars; Nick Magnus on keyboards; The Santucci Horns; Tim Irrgang on percussion; and Guys’ former Manning partners, Steve Dundon on flute; Chris Catling on guitar; and Julie King and Kev Currie on backing vocals.

Damanek’s second album was “In Flight”, released in 2018.

The recording of a third album, “Making Shore” was started in 2020 but the COVID pandemic seriously delayed the process.
