Markus Reuter – Truce 2 (Moonjune Records, 2022)
Prolific German guitarist and sound designer Markus Reuter continues his fascinating musical explorations with Truce 2. Reuter and his two colleagues, Fabio Trentini and Asaf Sirkis, have created a set of high energy improvisations drawing from modern King Crimson-style progrock, contemporary progressive jazz, and ambient electronics.
The three musicians skillfully layer each instrument in a way where there is cohesion, creating brilliant interplay.
The sessions were recorded over a period of 2 days. Additionally, a third day was scheduled to add overdubs, treatments and repairs.
Lineup: Markus Reuter on Touch guitars, synthesizers, and soundscapes; Fabio Trentini on fretless, electric upright, fretted 5-string and synth basses; and Asaf Sirkis on drums and percussion.
