Zolder Ellipsis – Entropy Override (Open-Mind Lizard, 2022)

Zolder Ellipsis is an avant-garde progressive rock project by keyboardist and composer Tom Aldrich. Although the album “Entropy Override” was originally released in 2019, this is a 2022 reissue on Lizard Records.

Tom Aldrich is deeply influenced by the experimental side of Frank Zappa. On “Entropy Override” you will find a wild mix of jazz-rock, quirky sounds, free improvisation and structured progressive rock that sounds very similar to the Canterbury sound of National Health.

The lineup includes Tom Aldrich on keyboards, piano, organ; Sean Moran on guitar; Chad Langford on electric bass, acoustic bass; Théo Lanau on drums; Ivo Bol on sampler, electronics.
