ESP – Phenomena (Sunn Creative, 2020)
ESP released Phenomena in 2020. ESP is the project of multi-instrumentalist Tony Lowe. He creates gorgeous, melodic symphonic progressive rock with fantastic keyboard and guitar work. Lowe usually invites excellent vocalists to collaborate on his projects. On this occasion, most songs feature the talented Damien Child, who fits perfectly. His singing style is refreshing, captivating, and dramatic.
On Phenomena, you will find engaging melodic sections as well as dazzling instrumental passages where Lowe incorporates classic symphonic rock, fusion, space rock, electronica, and classic rock. Influences include Genesis, Rick Wakeman, David Gilmour, Barclay James Harvest.
The last track, “Seven Billion Tiny Sparks” features the lovely vocals of Alison Fleming surrounded by masterfully crafted keyboard arrangements and elegant, epic guitar.
