Nine Skies is back with an expanded special edition of their latest album 5.20. The 5.20 special edition includes: 5 bonus tracks and a DVD. The bonus tracks include: Track 12. “Burn my Brain” (Orchestral version) Track 13. “Return Home” (Orchestral version) Track 14. “Catharsis” (Orchestral version) Track 15. “Wilderness” (Livestream version); and Track 16. “Porcelain Hill” (Livestream version).
The bonus DVD includes a documentary of the recording process for 5.20, and two music videos: “Wilderness”, livestream video, and “Porcelain Hill”, livestream video.
The orchestral versions of all of these 5 songs are worth the price of admission alone. All five are splendid versions that give the listener another perspective on these tracks. “Wilderness” and “Porcelain Hill”, were essential to making 5.20 such an important album last year.
I recommend this expanded edition of 5.20. Nine Skies fans should have this version in their collection. Anyone who bought the original version of 5.20, will enjoy the additional music and the music documentary of how the album was made. Please pick up this worthy addition to the Nine Skies discography.
