Gates to the Morning – Walk Between Worlds (2022)
“Walk Between Worlds” is a spellbinding album by American band Gates to the Morning. Although the group is known for playing post back metal, this recording is quite different, and much more satisfying than their previous material.
On “Walk Between Worlds”, the band has ditched the tiresome metal riffs and, instead, uses masterfully crafted dreamy atmospheres, acoustic guitars, gliding psychedelic electric guitars, soft evocative vocals and elaborate drums. It takes the band into a fresh new direction that will appeal to progressive rock fans, with similarities at times to Pink Floyd and Popol Vuh.
The lineup includes multi-instrumentalists Sean Meyers, MPMD and Jon Salluce.
