Alex Velasco – Imbued (2022)
Australian guitarist and composer Alex Velasco has released “Imbued”, an exquisite, intimate, evocative and deeply mesmerizing album highlighting her outstanding guitar work.
“Imbued” elegantly brings together various musical influences including neoclassical music, Latin American flavors and jazz stylings.
Throughout the album, Alex Velasco engages in a beautiful musical dialog with extraordinary violinist Alexey Kochetkov and bassist Tom Kessler.
Alex Velasco recorded the album at the famed Berlin Funkhaus, while living in Germany.
Czech-Filipino guitarist Alexandra Velasco-Svoboda was born in the outer suburbs of Melbourne, Australia.
In 2020, she moved to Berlin, where she produced Imbued, her second album. Currently, she is based on Australia’s south coast.
