Progressive jazz-rock band Crazy Swedes has released a music of “What’s On Tap” that appears on the band’s Deluxe Edition album.
The video was shot by Emmy-winning cinematographer Taylor Morrison, edited by Hue Hughes, and directed by Swedes guitarist Will Severin, who said: ”What’s On Tap’ is one of the funkier numbers on the release and falls somewhere between the jam band and fusion worlds. It has a joyous vibe and the guys had a lot of fun with it. George (drums) and Eric (bass) laid down a great groove for Rob (keys) and myself to stretch out and improvise over. During the production process with our co-producer (Chris Theis) the song grew to include a horn section and some ripping trumpet solos courtesy of our bud and honorary Swede, Dylan Canterbury.”
Severin adds, “A lot of the other cuts on the Deluxe Edition are tips of the hat to our musical influences. All the guys in the band are killer players and bring a lot musically to the table. With Crazy Swedes we all challenge each other, and it’s the perfect band to let yourself go and just play. There’s a lot of variety on the new release, catchy hooks, and a very healthy dose of shredding!”
Originally released on August 20, 2021, the band three new tracks to their debut album. In addition to the 10 tracks found on the standard version, the deluxe edition includes live covers of Pink Floyd’s “Shine On You Crazy Diamond” and “Stratus” by Billy Cobham, along with an original acoustic track, “Indigo Chrome”.
